Wine, Food and Live Music Highlight 2015 Wine and Dine Festival at Horseshoe Bay Resort

Tickets are on sale now for the 2014 Wine and Dine Festival at Horseshoe Bay Resort.  This is the 10th year of the annual Festival that brings wine enthusiasts from all over the state of Texas together to celebrate the growing Hill Country wine Region. The Festival celebrates great food as well as many award-winning chefs will converge at Horseshoe Bay Resort to share offerings during Saturday’s Sunset Stroll. Located less than an hour from Austin, the area is known for live music and the Wine and Dine Festival will also feature outstanding musical acts during both days of the Halloween Weekend event. Here’s a rundown of the two-day event, October 31-November 1, 2014 at Horseshoe Bay Resort.

Horseshoe Bay Resort to host annual wine festival featuring Bob Schneider, live in concert, plus Celebrity Chef cooking demonstrations with wine and food tastings featuring vineyards and chefs from across the Texas Hill Country

 

HORSESHOE BAY, TX (October 7, 2014) – Connect with Fall at the 2014 Horseshoe Bay Resort Wine and Dine Festival featuring concerts by Bob Schneider and The Vendetta Big Band. Festival highlights will include, a Friday night four-course kickoff  dinner paired with thoughtfully selected Hill Country varietals, celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, including a demo by Food Network Star Finalist, Sarah Penrod, and a sunset wine stroll where participants spend the afternoon sampling wines and cuisine from award-winning chefs and wineries.

 

The Horseshoe Bay Resort Wine and Dine Festival will be held Friday and Saturday, October 31st-November 1st, at Horseshoe Bay Resort, located 45-minutes west of Austin and five minutes west of Marble Falls. Charity Four-course Dinner and Wine Auction

Friday, October 30th

6 p.m. at the Palm D’Or Pavilion at Horseshoe Bay Resort

 

One of the highlights of this year’s festival will be Friday night’s four-course dinner prepared by Horseshoe Bay Resort’s executive chef Gilbert Moore and his culinary team. The seated dinner will showcase Hill Country wines paired with each course offering. The dinner will also include a live auction where participants bid on wines and other items to benefit the Scott and White Healthcare Foundation and Texas Wine Research. Live music with be provided by Austin’s own Vendetta Big Band. Tickets for the Dinner are $99.00. Hors d’ oeurves will be offered starting at 6 p.m. with the dinner beginning at 7 p.m. Dress is business casual.

 

Celebrity Chef Cooking Demonstrations

Saturday, November 1st

12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Palm D’Or Pavilion at Horseshoe Bay Resort

 

Three celebrity chefs will be conducting cooking demos for attendees at the 2014 Horseshoe Bay Resort Wine and Dine Festival. The demos start at noon with award-winning chef Roshni Gurnani. Gurnani was awarded Chopped Champion of the Food Network show CHOPPED and more recently was a contestant on the FOX TV show Hell’s Kitchen. At 1 p.m. chef Shehu Fitzgerald will take the cooking stage. Fitzgerald recently competed on ABC’s THE TASTE and won Food Network’s CHOPPED. Fitzgerald is a well-traveled chef with world-wide inspirationally infused cuisine, routinely showcasing his diverse knowledge through simple dishes with complex and amazing flavors. At 2 p.m. Food Network Star Season 10 finalist chef Sarah Penrod will conduct a cooking demo. Penrod, a 5th generation Texas, is the host of LET’S EAST HOUSTON and Food Network’s Star’s LONE STAR KITCHEN. Those attendees that purchase tickets to the Sunset Wine Stroll will have access to the cooking demonstrations on Saturday, November 1st

 

Sunset Wine & Dine Stroll

3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Live Oak Event Lawn at Horseshoe Bay Resort

 

The Highlight of each festival is the Wine & Dine stroll featuring thoughtfully prepared food offerings from award-winning chefs, artisans and restaurants from across the Hill Country. In addition numerous wineries will be offering wine tastings throughout the afternoon. All food and wine tastings are included with paid admission. In addition, all Sunset Wine and Dine Stroll attendees will receive a 2014 festival wine glass. The Wine and Dine Stroll will also include live performances leading to a featured performance by Austin’s own Bob Schneider.
