Tickets are on sale now for the 2015 Wine and Dine Festival at Horseshoe Bay Resort. This is the 11th year of the annual Festival that brings wine enthusiasts from all over the state of Texas together to celebrate the growing Hill Country wine Region. The Festival celebrates great food as well as many award-winning chefs will converge at Horseshoe Bay Resort to share offerings during Saturday’s Sunset Stroll. Located less than an hour from Austin, the area is known for live music and the Wine and Dine Festival will also feature outstanding musical acts during both days of the November event. Here’s a rundown of the two-day event, November 20-November 21st, 2015 at Horseshoe Bay Resort.
Five-Course Celebrity Wine Dinner
Friday, November 20th inside the Granite Ballroom at Horseshoe Bay Resort
Time: 6 p.m. Doors Open; 7 p.m. Dinner and Wine Auction begins

Joins us Friday night, November 20th starting at 6 p.m. as Horseshoe Bay Resort’s Executive Chef Jay Hunter and a group of Celebrity Chef’s serve up a five-course meal to be paired with Hill Country wines. Direct from Austin, The Liz Morphis quartet will perform live. Patrons attending this dinner will get to hear from Celebrity Chef’s Roshni Gurnani, Chef Cutter Brewer and Chef Jay Ducote as each has prepared a dish for this exciting evening. Celebrity Chef Demo with Roshni Gurnani, 2014 Champion
In 2009, Roshni was awarded Chopped Champion on the hit Food Network show Chopped. That same year she was also the first Chef in Boston to introduce healthy restaurant style quality food into college campuses and was featured in the Boston Globe Newspaper. This triggered the healthy food scene throughout colleges in Massachusetts. Roshni’s wide travels and vast knowledge and hunger for the culinary world has awarded her as being one of the top 5 Indian chefs in USA by India Currents magazine, in 2011. In 2011 Roshni was also invited to be the featured chef for Masala, Mendhi, Masti in Toronto Canada, North America’s largest South Asian festival. In 2012 Roshni was a contestant on the very popular FOX TV show Hell’s Kitchen with Michelin Star chef Gordon Ramsey. She was the only chef among 18 that Chef Ramsey addressed as a “passionate, well rounded chef that blended flavors magically”.

Celebrity Chef Demo with Chef Cutter Brewer, top four finalist on Fox’s TV series Masterchef
Originally from Beaumont,TX, Cutter Brewer served in the U.S. Navy as a Rescue Swimmer aboard the USS Kitty Hawk as a part of HS-14 from 2000-2004, participating in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. After transitioning into the world of cuisine, he finished Top 4 on FOX’s TV Series MasterChef starring Gordon Ramsay, Graham Elliot and Joe Bastianich and was a fan favorite. Chef Brewer currently resides near Katy, Texas, and is Executive Chef of Skillet & Flask Private Dining, LLC., and Creative Menu Design and Co-Executive Chef of Aces Icehouse and Chop Shop in Frisco, TX. Cutter is also a Petroleum Landman in his spare time!

Celebrity Chef Demo with Jay Ducote, runner up on Food Network Star
Jay Ducote spends most of his time as a food and beverage writer, blogger, radio host, speaker, video producer, culinary personality, chef and hugger. Residing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and traveling as much as he can, Jay finished runner-up on season 11 of the hit reality competition show Food Network Star in the summer of 2015. He has also been named one of the top 100 amateur chefs in America by FOX’s MasterChef, has appeared as himself on HBO’s drama series Treme, and has been featured on multiple programs such as Cutthroat Kitchen on the Food Network, Eat St. on the Cooking Channel, and Last Call Food Brawl on Destination America. “The Bite and Booze Radio Show”, produced and hosted by Ducote, won a Taste Award for best food or drink radio broadcast in the country in 2014 and the Uniquely Louisiana Award from the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters in 2015. Jay launched his own Jay D’s Louisiana Barbecue Sauce in 2014 and released his wine, Jay D’s Blanc du Bois.

Enjoy culinary delights from acclaimed Texas Hill Country Restaurants and Artisans while sampling a dynamic blending of varietals from Hill Country Wineries. Live entertainment by Lost and Nameless Orchestra, Hello Wheels an the latin band El Ochete. Event to be held outdoors, but Resort’s Granite Ballroom will serve as the backup. Enjoy tastings from these celebrated wineries: Fall Creek, Flat Creek, Spicewood Vineyards, William Chris and Perissos.
